I’m getting to spend more of my own time on my wood working projects. Well I say ‘projects’ but it’s really just practice, and I really need it! I am sometimes enormously frustrated by the mistakes I continue to make
This last week has been the first of a project planned to take four weeks. It is a great opportunity for me, since the project’s goal is to deliver on an idea I pitched, some months ago, to solve a problem with the way we test.
Tidying my workshop/garage has been the task of the last week. It’s been a much bigger task than I first thought. As of now I’ve done a first pass down the ‘main half’ of the garage
OK, so now I’ve actually finished the decking – screwing in the final screw about 30 mins ago. Whilst we were out earlier Kat and I did some maths, and realised that we used about 700 screws in total for the decking.
Decking project is now complete (well ish). Three days of labouring in the sunshine, which was very hot work but actually really nice in many ways. It’s great to be out of the office, doing something constructive.
