A commuter’s life

Last Day

2 axis tool platform
I’m sure there is a proper name for this but I can’t think what it is.So to describe it… basically it’s a platform on which I have mounted a rotary tool. By turning the big wheel at the end I can make the platform move left and right.

On Monday I resigned from IBM after 9.5 years there. The process of looking for a new job has been a fairly long, and interesting one. Of course the hardest part was making the decision to leave. Well I say hard, in the endI guess I felt IBM made it pretty easy for me.

My New Bike, Giant – Seek 4
A couple of months ago, my bike, the carrera subway ltd was stolen. Fortunately I had insurance that covered it, there was a £50 excess, but other than that they replaced everything I remembered to tell them about the bike.

LoveFilm video streaming
LoveFilm also allow video streaming of some of their catalogue. Given that my television is connected to my Asrock running ubuntu, this means I can live stream content directly to my television. And it’s really good.
