Why open platforms are great
About a year ago I bought a Nokia 770. It didn’t get great reviews when it first came out. But then it was expensive when it came out first. Last year they were selling cheap….*really* cheap, as the latest model had just come out.
This is ‘turning’ into a bad habit
Recently my resolve to save money and be good has somewhat fallen apart. I’ve been blowing payrise money on new tools, and generally talking myself into things that I should probably not be spending money on.

Back to the day job
So after 5 weeks working on an agile project, I have returned to my normal day job. And I’m already feeling the lack of focus is becoming an issue.

Wood turning practice
I’m getting to spend more of my own time on my wood working projects. Well I say ‘projects’ but it’s really just practice, and I really need it! I am sometimes enormously frustrated by the mistakes I continue to make
So Agile, they’ll need another word
This last week has been the first of a project planned to take four weeks. It is a great opportunity for me, since the project’s goal is to deliver on an idea I pitched, some months ago, to solve a problem with the way we test.
